Rebecca By Daphne Du Maurier
In the first two chapters I did not like this book at all. It didnt grab my attention and was sort of confusing. But as the book went on it got better and i started to understand the plot. In the book, imagery is a big literary element. The author explains everything in great detail and you can really see that thing that she is talking about. I think she is using imagery because she wants to take you deeper into the main characters world. The tone of the book is probably somber. In the chapters that i have read, everything is going great for the main character but with everything that is happening she is always thinking of Rebecca and it haunts her. So far, this has been the tone throughout the first few chapters.
